Third spawn point I flew over, NPC scan and SilverDragon both lit up like flashing neon signs. I flew out to Zul'drak because Gondria was on my mind. now I am having wild thoughts of releasing my WindSerpent into the wild and taming Gondria.ĮDIT: Must have been meant to be. I still don't know exactly why SilverDragon popped up that alert, but. I came back after the raid, but Gondria was nowhere to be found. I posted to general chat "Hey looks like Gondria might be up" but the only response was from some rude non-hunters who basically said "Kill it! Kill it!" *sadface* I was in a raid group and if I hadn't been flying to Wyrmrest for the weekly I'd have investigated further. That same evening, Silver Dragon popped up an alert for Gondria while I was flying over Zul'Drak (not where Gondria lives, the western end of the zone).

The next time my add-ons started flashing, it was BOTH, and yes, there he was. After the initial freak out, I realized Silver Dragon had not gone off, which was a big clue that what triggered the alarm was a pet. NPCscan went off due to a hunter pet, and scared me half to death. It came in handy last week when I was after Arcturis. So now I am using both, redundancy and all. Very nice.īut Silver Dragon has no feature to allow for map overlays, like NPCscan has.

Then I found out how SilveDragon includes ALL rares not just outlands/northrend rares. The first time I heard about people using both, I kind of wondered why? It seemed redundant.
